And Speaking of Christmas

We recently took the kids to the Farmers Santa Parade in the city. And for those of you who are now having visions of farm animals on parade down the main street, 'Farmers' is, to clarify any misconceptions, a nationwide department store. It sells clothing, toys, furniture, cosmetics and most things in between. It's probably the closest thing we've got to Woolworths SA over here.

So, anyway, Farmers hold an annual Santa Parade down Queen Street and thousands of people come out to join in the festivities. We lined both sides of the street and enjoyed the long string of floats and 'mega-balloons' passing by. If we'd paid for the pleasure, we certainly would have got our money's worth because it was about 2 hours long. Almost too long for the kids!
