Catching All the Autumn Rays

After watching Sarah play a wildly exciting semi-final water polo game on Friday night {they won}, and then watching Luke play two football games and waiting for Sarah to finish her water polo training on Saturday morning, we drove down to the marina with a car full of food and bedding, and got out on the water again.

The weather was incredibly gorgeous and we cruised out just after lunch to find a good spot off Waiheke Island. And, as is always the case when the weather is so beautiful, many other people had exactly the same idea, but we still managed to find a spot in a calm bay, and we pulled in for the night.

The kids took the tender out to the beach while Grant fired up the bbq and we spent a very mellow evening sipping on our gin and tonics while watching the kids enjoy some precious time outdoors.

The next morning we took the tender to Oneroa Beach and walked up the hill for a delicious breakfast at Delight Cafe, which overlooks the bay. I love that little cafe - I had the eggs benedict and those eggs were done to perfection. :)

We've had some wonderful weather around these parts lately and boy are we taking full advantage of every last sunny day that comes our way! {Autumn Appreciation!}

So what did you get up to this last weekend? I hope you're all enjoying the weather wherever you are. :)
